Preliminary Poll
Penny Polendina

Submission reason:
Hahahaha ok so: (lots of spoilers for rwby upcoming and suicide cw) First, she died. But she is a sweet little robot girl, so after a long, long wait, she was rebuilt! She reunited with all of her friends and it was very emotional. Then she got infected with a virus, causing her to reboot her system and almost die from falling. Then the virus made her attack all her friends. Then to get the virus out of her system, her friends made a reality-breaking wish to give her a human body instead of a robot one. Then one episode later, she gets badly hurt in a fight, and asks her friend to mercy kill her so she can go out on her own terms instead of being killed by the villain (if she is killed by the villain it will make the villain more powerful.) Since Penny is mortal now, she dies again, this time permanently. The writers could only think of one interesting thing to do with this character and that was kill her or threaten to kill her over and over. The final character death just felt so awful, contrived, and disappointing.
This echoes even stronger considering why and how Disney tried to bury this movie. And look, memories of what happened to The Owl House are fresh: it was because of that.
(I'm still angry about everything Dana & her team had to endure)
Plus the usual "we gotta hide/remove gay and trans content so that media will be received better" nonsense.
So to hell with them. They can look at these results and weep.
'why are actors striking aren't they all millionaires' here's a paywall free link to an article that mentions how most of the cast of one of netflix's biggest shows had day jobs bc they couldn't afford rent
remember that actors are usually not well off at all. forget the big screen famous guys, they're the very few ones. this strike is for all the other ones, that deserve to have a livable paycheck for their job.
And a note to say that, had Orange is the New Black been on a not-streaming network which paid them residuals each time they screened the show the actors would have done fine or better than fine.
At the start of streaming rules were agreed to let these beginning ways of putting out stories over the web succeed and get established, and letting them not pay actors and writers traditional style residuals was part of what was agreed. They got established. They succeeded. The actors and the writers took the hit.
